Well my old black leather gloves are a little too casual for good safe riding so I am in the market for some good gloves. Any recommendations from the forum? Don't want some rice rocket types but some good adventure style gloves.

Which ones?

Sweet! Those are the ones I looked at and liked. Do they have armor or padding on the heel of the palm?

I prefer a more "full race" style glove that is more thoroughly secured around the wrist and provides more extensive protection- something like this:

If you get them in plain black they're not obnoxiously rice-rockety. And they have a ton of 5 star reviews.

I figure that since I make my living using my hands (and really don't want to impose on someone else for help with eating and taking care of the other end of business, should I go asphalt surfing), more is better.

I have this pr. of unlined warm weather motorcycle riding gloves(wrong time of yr.,right? )that are such lightweight, thin leather that they stay cool in the hot weather while giving me good protection from the wind, etc.during the other 2 seasons, they aren't perforated which is what I prefer.I bought them a long time ago and at the time they were labelled "XL".. and there weren't any doubleXX size for these.. I have a large palm(measures 10" all the way around my knuckles so correct 'XL' size) and these were never big enough in the palm to allow me just a little more room to move;they did 'break-in' and stretch just a little but never enough for comfort.
I like the thin leather, all black, unlined, velcro gauntlet(12" from tip to tip)style of them and they're thin enough to stuff them both in one pocket. The area where i live has a couple M/C dealerships but far away from my residence and they have all 'the latest and greatest' multi color/fabric styles, etc.
I would love to find another pr. of basic gloves just like these for warm(days)weather riding.I like the 'feel' of this pr. being close/tight & stick-to-my-hand kind of a way.. sort of like a '2nd skin' w/ limited protection & thin leather is good.
Do you have any ideas ?

I'm looking to find similar lightweight, unlined leather gloves Now so I can use them later in the warm weather;I just want to know if anyone can point me toward a pr. just like them that I can purchase.I would buy either new or pre-owned. ;)

Oh Man, I had a pair of Castre gloves (Lancaster PA if I remember) Those were the nicest gloves I ever had.

I am looking for a pair of heated gloves (battery of course) that won't break the bank?
I could spend around 100.
Anybody have any recommendations?
Spring riding is comming up, and leaving for work at 5:30 am it
is quite chilly. If I had some good heated gloves I could possibly extend my season by about
a month at each end!

Yeah, do you recommend them? I looked at them but can't remember why I thought not. Maybe thought they were too big. I know
they come in 2 sizes though.

I've been fortunate over the years to have been issued some of the finest tactical gloves, shooting gloves, arctic weather gloves, you name it. And yet my go to gloves are still the old black leather shell gloves that are supposed to go over the OD wool inserts.
But THESE gloves are the reason I still have to have at least one black and red bike in the stable:

I got them over 30 years ago, and unfortunately they've gotten a bit tight. If they started selling them again I'd buy another two pairs. In fact, I saw an old used pair on eBay a while back that sold for a pretty ridiculous price, but they were blue and white.

Ah, forget to answer the hand warmer question. If you're standing in the back of a Tacoma on the machine gun in 20 degree weather in Afghanistan for 12 hours, they work great. I have a feeling though in warmer weather, say anything above freezing, they might actually cause your hands to start sweating.
