here's a pic of my 74 cb550. i ride it every day. i'm conflicted about whether to do a cafe conversion or leave it stock. it's in great shape, has about 11k miles, and is all stock except for the pipes.

I have been in the same boat with my '76 CB500T. It's all stock so I don't want to cut her. I have resolved to simply take things off that I will be able to put back on to strip her down a bit.....I think.

I hate to see complete bikes cut up. Complete ones are getting fewer and fewer. Easy to find a incomplete one though
Incomplete ones are cheaper too...but still...that's a clean bike and deserves to be preserved. His bike, but glad he is going to not butcher it up.
