Honda CB400A Engine Swap to CB400T

Hey guys,

I'm a new guy here. Just got a Honda CB400A a couple weeks ago. Love the bike, except for one thing, its a Hondamatic, and I'm more of a standard transmission kind of guy. I was just wondering, is it possible to do an engine swap with a CB400T, CB400TI, CB400TII without much modifications (welding, cutting the frame, etc)?

The engine should bolt-in....You MAY need the harness, CDI, and left-hand switching from the CB (Clutch perch, etc...)and misc. differences as well.......Never done it, so just guessing......

Thanks for the reply 66Sprint! I'll keep that in mind.

One more thing, do you know if the carbs are interchangeable? I heard somewhere that the 400A has smaller ones than the regular 400T's...

OH! Also, any idea if a CB400 four cylinder would fit the chassis?
