i just pick up a 75 cb200. while the bike is off and on stand, i see small drops on the ground. i inspect and it smells like fuel. upon inspection out found that the petcock is wet. it was drenched in fuel, while petcock was in off position. looked deeper in and saw fuel under the tank, where the tank and petcock meets. i found a couple thread like this one viewtopic.php?f=45&t=13453 and while the cycle started and ran, i'd turned the petcock to off position so it will cut of fuel and kill the engine. but it keeps on running...???? im clueless now. when engine is warm it idles smooth, no backfires, no bogs.

i've search and found nothing on how to remove, replace, and or install petcocks, i need help, sorry im still very new at this and have little to no knowledge. anyone with info or tips? by the way whats the best way to drain the tank? thanks in advance.

sounds like the little wizzer seal is worn out...you can replace without removing from the tank

although it's a good idea to remove clean out and replace all the seals.

to remove from the tank, unscrew the bottom bowl with a 10mm wrench
then remove the phillips head screw connecting the petcock to the tank
