The rocker arms have a thread in them. Screw in an M6 case screw and pull them out! Simples.
It does look rusty, but that's part of the fun!

Thanks Nigel for the tip. I did take a look at that earlier today thinking that would make it so easy. However, the inside of the rods appear to not have any threads. Feels smooth when a ran a small screwdriver inside. I tried a side cover bolt just now and it was too small. Will very that I use a M6 bolt tomorrow.

 

I confirmed that there are no threads. I ended up making a tool out of a nail that extends through the shaft and pull the shaft out. Worked very well. I have attached a picture of the tool.

 

Yep they should be able to pull out. No threads. Moving the camshaft can help free them up from the rocker arms too. Looks like a good project, I would replace the contact points depending how they clean up. Not too expensive for a vital ignition timing piece. Keep us updated.

 

Glad you fixed it, as far as threads go some 175 rocker pin sets have them some don't, I've pulled a pile of them and about a 1/4 have had a threaded internal
