I bought a pair of sr250 yamahas. one complete, no title, one apart with title. swap engine, various parts, etc. get it running, titled, etc.
so after figuring out the left switch has to be grounded to charge (?!?!?!) now, if i wiggle the clutch lever on the engine/trans, it acts like a major short. neutral light stays on, everything else dies. engine will stall, no horn, no starter, nothing, just the neutral light.
near as i can tell.... there's nothing connected to the clutch shaft in there...
Anyone run into this?

Sounds like a bad neutral safety switch.
