So during some last minute prepping of the cases for painting I was doing some degreasing and trying to get some sludge out from under the windage tray by spraying with degreaser and then power washing immediately followed by blowing compressed air to dry everything up. However, from the time walking from the power washer to the compressor and drying everything, it looks like the windage try developed some slight surface/flash rush on the top and underneath.

Should I be concerned about this? Should I do as others have and drill it out and then clean and bolt back in? Or dunk it in Metal Rescue for a few hours then make sure the things is oiled. Or will it be ok as long as its getting oiled from the engine oil. Not wanted to risk drilling it out myself it I don't have to.

Thoughts anybody?
