I went to some guys place to get a side cover and wound up with 2 bikes and probably the better part of 2 spare motors. Problem is now I have to figure out what it all goes to. The engine numbers that I have cases for are cb360e-1011618 (runner), cb350e-3080460 (in pieces but good), and the last one is cb350e-4035599 (almost a runner). The last one is ia complete bike that the vin on the neck is cb350-5025803. The vin on the 360 frame is cb360-1011010. First off what years are these motors? What I am planning on doing is making a bobber out of the 360 because it has already been hacked to hell. Can I use the parts motor as a mock up or is it different as far as mounting points and diameter etc. As far as the spare 350 parts I will be selling a lot of it off as soon as I figure out what I need. If anyone needs anything let me know. I have 3 crates of engine parts so if anyone needs anything let me know. I'll post picks as soon as I can. Thanks.

What about the interchange factor. Can I use a 350 case as a mock up of the 360? They look about the same as far as mounting points. Thanks.

Theres virtually no common parts between the 350 and 360 engines. Perhaps the alternator is all.....

EDIT: I misread your question  Isnt the 360 engine to tall and the 350 frame too low for a complete engine swap?

A 360 engine can be squeezed into a 350 frame by changing the motor mount brackets.... A 350 will NOT fit in a 360 frame without modifying the frame.....

360 in a SL 350 frame....

Is the SL350 frame identical to the CB350 frame?

That's exactly what I needed to know. Lastly is a piston question. I'm rebuilding the top end on both of them. I might go larger pistons if possible. Any particular type that I can or should use or is it better just to stay stock. The 350 has about 115-130 psi so it definitley needs some love. The 360 has 185 and 155psi. I assume they should read similar to my 450.

The frames of the 350 CB/CL and SL have essentially identical engine "compartments" as far as size and "fit"........
Your 360 readings are TOO different (15 PSI difference between cylinders is allowable max)...The 155 PSI cylinder is at/below minimum spec and needs re-ringed....
