Looks like maybe a place to attach brush gaurds that would protect the brake and shifter pedals?

i aint a clue! all i know is a crankcase cover screw will fit and thread there

that would be my guess look at the flipper shifter peg that bike was a dirt/trail ride for sure

i put that shifter on, after i dumped the bike and broke the shifter rod on the SL engine i was using, i got shifter linkage i wanna use, but need to figureout a way to mount it
