I found my vacuum leak. Who thought this was a good idea? My carb rebuild just got more complicated. Any ideas?

It can be repaired but it will be cheaper to just find another used cylinder head someplace.

I will see what I can find. In the meantime I was thinking about JB weld and retapping. I am a teacher and have a student that could TIG weld it in the welding class at my school. He is a fantastic TIG welder. Can it be welded?

Yes you can TIG that closed.

JB Weld in that instance would be a frustrating waste of time. Clean out any left over steel stud in the hole and then weld it up and retap.

They do Media Blasting too, Very Reasonable!

I think I gave $85 for a Cylinder for my 400t and it was shipped and Media Blasted...
