Tried to start the bike up today. Not getting any spark on the plugs from what I can tell. Trying to trace that back and decided to give the electric starter a try. I just wanted to see what it sounded like and that it would try and work with the new wiring harness. I didn’t stay on it for more than a second (literally) it made some god awful noises then all the lights on the bike went out. I thought I had drained the battery really quickly but it’s still showing 13v. I tried tracing back where to where I might have lost power and can’t find it. Checked for resistance at the switches to make sure they hadn’t fried and they are still good. It just seems to lose power all of the sudden. Any thoughts? Did I do some serious damage here?

Probably not. Test light or multimeter can tell you where you are losing the power. Likely fuse or bad connection (ground).
