Hello everyone,
I'm located in Newfoundland, Canada and just picked up a 1980 Honda CB400T Hawk in need of rescue. I already own a 1978 Kawasaki KZ650 and was looking for a cheap twin to work on. I really wanted an older twin, but when I stumbled upon a cheap Hawk I couldn't pass it up. It definitely needs a lot of work, but that was something I was also looking for. I just finished the KZ and was looking for something else to work on. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.
The engine is running a bit rough now so that will be my first order of business. I want to get it running right and tuned before I tear it down. I've downloaded a Clymer manual but expect some questions as I progress.
BTW, I'm not sure if 1980 is actually considered vintage and if the Hawk fits into the scope of this site, so please let me know if it doesn't and I'll gladly look elsewhere. I don't want to clutter up this site with non-relevant content.
Thanks
