I opened up a pair of the old style forks today. The ones with the springs in the middle. For folks who have not done this before, there is essentially a pipe with holes in it inside the lower ends of the fork. Fluid is forced in and out of the holes to provide a dampening effect. Imagine my surprise when I opened the forks and found that only one of the forks had one of these pipe things in it. The other is missing this pipe thing. Does anyone have one of these things? Or does anyone have an old fork that I could buy that would have one of these things in it?
