Hello everyone,
Piping in from Redwood City, California. New rider with an old motorcycle! A 1975 CB200T in Candy Gold Metallic.
I'm breaking it down, learning the mechanisms, polishing bits, and plan on riding it stock for a while, at least.
I don't want to do anything to her that is not reversible.
The bike was given to me from a dear friend who has since passed away. He used to rebuild old BSAs. Seeing all the parts on his kitchen table he'd pour me a shot regardless of time of day and would cheers me explaining how a motorcycle works "Suck, Bang, Boom, Blow!" I miss him.
That is how I caught the bug.
Motorcycling and the machine are very emotional things!
I'm glad to have a community where I can share in resources. I hope I'll contribute some in the future.
