So an old engine builder I know has offered up a couple of vm34's for my cb350 build free to me. I would like to give them a try as he is a knowledgeable fellow and feels that regardless of the bore, the carb will only draw what it needs based on the draw from the engine and the jetting installed. I have read through the stickey on this site (which is excellent and very helpful) as well as a couple mikuni manuals. I am interested in hearing thoughts on this. The motor has been rebuilt and is stock, the exhaust is aftermarket shorty's with little baffling. I am at sea level and running between 10 and 20 celsius. I also have the original carbs for this bike which are completely serviceable, just curious if it is worth a shot with these 34's. Thanks all

I tend to think that will cause your engine to be over carburated. Since they're offered for free, I'd take the carbs, and save them for a larger engine.
