hey guys,

i did my first valve adjustment today.

after getting both valves set properly (.05mm space for both the intake and the exhaust on both valves), i rotated the engine a few turns, and then rechecked each valve when it was closed (when the fly wheel was at the T mark). i tested each valve about 10 times and each time, the 0.05mm feeler gauge would slide into the opening between the tip of the valve and the tappet, but it met uneven resistance each time. so, in other words, sometimes the feeler gauge would slide easily under the left valve's intake but would be more difficult to get under the exhaust; other times it would be the opposite; other times they'd both be just right. same with the right valve. it was never grossly out of whack (i never couldn't get the feeler gauge in at all or felt like i could slide a 0.10 mm gauge in, but it was definitely inconsistent and probably changing by about .01-.02mm.).

is this normal??
thanks.
