I am interested in opinions on the use of flange head bolts to replace original standard head bolts on a 1971 CB350 resto-mod that I am doing. Particularly for use in areas where they are visible on the completed bike. I have a couple of mid '90's XR's and the flange heads are used everywhere so I have a supply of them. The 6mm bolts are the different because they have 8mm heads rather than 10mm. I have installed a few already but I am only at the frame reassembly stage. They look good to me but I know they are not period correct, but then I am not doing a restore to original condition on this machine.
