I have read a few threads that talk about halogen headlights but I still have a question. Is there a standard halogen headlight that I can get at for example auto zone?? I have a 72 CB350 that uses a 12V-35/25 watt bulb.

Thanks, Matt

Matt, You aren't going to find a halogen with that low a wattage..... I have some "lenses" that accept halogen bulbs (H-4) but need to know diameter you'd need.... It does take some finageling to mount these in your trim ring sometimes, but is definately worth the effort..... PM me your diameter, and/or pics... Steve

If you are looking for a 5 3/4 inch bulb, I have not been able to find them at any stores. I am getting ready to order one with a replaceable h4 bulb off of ebay. I have converted my other bulbs to LEDs so I have enough power for the new bulb. My charging system works great too.

I'll double check Mike. You mentioned they are hard to find and that you found one on ebay. I gather you were looking for a while and you just found one? Anyway keep me posted on your progress. I know I'm gonna need some help switching mine over.

Thanks, Matt

I didn't really look that hard. I stopped by a few local autoparts stores. the only Hi/Lo round bulbs they had were 7 inches. They had smaller ones but they were single beam. I plan on getting this on on ebay.

Saw another guy say the Autopal quality was pretty good for the price. They also have a flatter, non-convex one. And if you don't like their H4 filament, you can put whatever you want in. Those are readily available everywhere. The glass part apparently isn't.

Some Motor Cycle 5 3/4" headlights have special tabs/brackets on the back of the headlight for mounting purposes. This is a standard 5 3/4" headlight with tabs like the H5006 sealed beams and may not fit your Motor Cycle if it has special mounting requirements.

That disclaimer scares me. Wish they posted a pic of the back of the light. But it is exactly what I'm looking for. I may have to pull the trigger too.

I didn't see any tabs or brackets on the back of mine or in your pic. I probably won't order it for a couple weeks. I'm in the middle of changing jobs/moving. Actually today is my last day at work. That's why I'm working so hard. ;)

To handle the extra power? I don't think so. You will have to buy a "plug" to plug the H4 bulb into. I got one at pep boys for $3. I'm going to put bullet connectors on the end and just plug the "plug" into the wires where the original bulb went.

Here are the tabs I was talking about.
