I see all this info about 450 k5, k6 etc.... or whatever? Very confusing to me. What I know I have is an 86 cb450sc nighthawk. What does that translate to ????? Also Im looking for a resource for front pads and possible caliper rebuild. Also rear tire purchase. TYIA.

In the 60's and 70's bikes were designated as K0 being the first year and subsequent years noted a K1, K2 etc. That pretty much died off by the late 70's and bikes are referenced by year and exact model designation. So you have a 1986 CB450SC, aka 450 Nighthawk.
Specifically you want this part number yours, not the same for any other SOHC 450, 451A0-MC7-670

Thanks for info. Got pads ordered. What about caliper rebuild kit? And my tire is 130 /90 / 16. Would like to go with a taller tire. Is this possible. ???

Moved to SOHC Brake/tire section
The 1986 version is an odd monkey, so many pieces that fit it don't fit any of the other 450's or even the 1985 model.
This is the correct kit https://www.amazon.com/Supply-32-1153-Caliper-Rebuild-Kits-2c/dp/B002E5YFGO Look at the models listed it fits, no mention of yours.
I use this dealer site to sort out parts https://www.partsfish.com/oemparts/c/honda_motorcycle/parts
Taller tire? Normally I'd say swap to the CB400T rear wheel which is an 18" but that won't work well with the SC models since the chain will be out of alignment. There is a fix for that which is spacing the front sprocket in 4 mm's. That 18" wheel is the old Comstar wheel design and also takes a narrower tire 110/90/18 or 4.10S18. It won't take a 130 tire and a 120 would be pushing it.
