Hello all, I couldn't find this in the archives here. I'm new to this stuff, so excuse the amateur question.

Took off the air filters for the first time on my new bike and found that the right tube was cracked through right before the point where the tube stretches around the carb's intake. The crack goes around maybe 1/3 of the circumference. I would just replace with some radiator hose, but it's got the molded fitting to accept the air filter case, on the other end of the hose. It's a part that's listed but doesn't look in stock on the parts sites.

Is it an okay idea to seal/glue the crack back together? Maybe using a weatherstripping/gasket glue to retain some flex? Like this 3M stuff: http://www.shop3m.com/60455029946.html

The photo makes it look worse. I was squeezing the tube so the crack is gaping, but the sides touch usually.

Thanks for any help!

If I couldn't find a suitable replacement then I'd try superglue to hold it shut, then use a fuel safe gasket sealer on the inside and outside..
