Triple Tree

I have a snapped triple tree, in the standard place.

I am building a Cafe bike so i really dont need any place for handlebars as I am going full clip ons for them.

I was wondering though, if I designed up a new milled triple tree would there be inteterest from anyone else to have one?

I will probably design it without the handlebar mount holes, although I dont think it will be too complicated to add them if requested.

I am gauging interest please let me know, there is nothing in stone yet so don't get your hopes up, but I am working on it.

Got you liability insurance paid up? I've had people ask me to build stuff for them and I do some non-critical, cant kill ya items for them. However, suspension parts, frame parts, trees, etc...I pass on them for liability reasons. Somebody gets killed, somebody gets sued.

Might want to think about that.
I see your point, maybe I will just make my own trick triple tree and everyone else can be jealous :D !
Maybe you could be a champ and post the specs with build pics so that others might fab their own also without risk of anyone gettin sued.... ;)
Has anyone sued Honda for them breaking in the first place?

I could possibly post a drawing and be able to provide a 3D geometry if someone wanted it.

I think that i can get the model even ran through our FEA at work as a training exercise!
It is usually an improper torqueing or untorqueing sequence, or excessive torque on a pinch bolt that cracks them, not a factory defect......

Just FYI, the CB350G, 360's and some CB/CM 400's use essentially the same top bridge.... Differences (if any) are only in the meter bracket mount points....The geometry (tube size, spacing, offset) is the same....

So do all 350G's, 360's and some CB/CM400's share the same lower tree?
The lower trees from those three bikes can be used (spacing, offset, and stems are the same, but the fork-locks, provision for brake line joint/switchblock and Pinch-bolt position are somewhat different) (may interfere with headlight bracket, fork-ears, etc)
For a restoration...NO GO..... For a rider or Cafe'....they work fine....
