Can someone help me out with some data? Was there a certain year where the CB450 triples started getting black paint from the factory? What is correct for the K3-K4?

Ahhh, so the disc brake was the transition year? What about the K3 CL model? Did they have black triples?

Part # for CLK2 = 53230-292-020 (same as CBK1)
Part # for CLK3-K4= 53230-320-000
Part # for CLK5-K6 = 53230-319-305 (replaces 53230-319-000 ???)

CLK6 had tach/speedo slanted toward rider at a greater angle than K5, due to changed bracket.

K1-K2 have same forks (probably)
K3-K4 have same forks
K5-K6 have same forks
