The one locked in place with the cotter pin. I had to take up some chain slack today. I tightened to 25-30 lbs-ft. but I couldn't find a spec in the shop manual.

Don't have the 350 specs handy, but the later 175's also used a 16mm threaded rear axle and get 50 to 68 ft/lbs for that castellated nut....
Pretty sure that would be appropriate for the 350's as well......
500T's get 58 to 72 ft/lbs on their 18mm threaded rear axle, 450's (also 18mm threads) are even higher at 58 to 87 ft/lbs......

Steve's numbers are good - it's a lot of torque
If you don't have a torque wrench, then that's about as tight as you can get it (with our "normal" 3/8" drive tools) without using a big ol' breaker bar.

Thanks guys. Yep have several torque wrenches here. Will re-tighten accordingly.

Two past stretch, one before snap is the proper torquing value for any fastener. Or so I've been told.
