My bike is a '80 CM400T and has a top fork bolt, and several other bolts and washers, as shown in attached photo. I'm pretty certain that my bike has a replacement front end, fork tubes, triple tree--probably as a result of a wreck--so I think that fork tubes are not part of original set-up. They don't match schematics at parts supply websites either. So just wondering if anyone can i.d. what model mine forks are from?
Probably need to see the rest of the forks, upper and lower, to get an idea if they are stock or not. The cap and hardware does not look familiar, but then I don't know much about the SOHC 400 series either
Steve is right. attached schematic shows parts for '78 CB400T1 (parts #19, 5 and 6 match my parts). unfortunately i was hoping to replace top nut, but they don't seem to be available anywhere other that some Brit site that's selling new replicas at about $60 a pair. thanks all
Used with both brake systems in 1978/79. The T1 is a drum brake, the T2 and A models were disc. The only difference between the drum and disc versions is the left slider.
Member Ecosta777 was parting out an A model you might ask him if he has what you need .
