Let me first start out by saying I HATE CHROME!! Whew.. much better. Okay now the beginning, I purchased this cool little CL350 about 6 months ago with all intentions on making a military style bike ya know O.D green with flat black all over the place. Something that I could drop in the yard, I mean who uses kickstands right?? You get the point, basically a beater, kinda rat-ish. Well the thing is I started looking at the bike & it was clean! I mean a little dent here and there but overall the bike started transforming in my minds eye into something different. With a buddy in the paint and body field who could resist..right? Oh yeah and the big kicker I have access to chrome! Yes thats right chrome plating, the devils lettuce, its so tempting to take a little more, piece by piece Im slowly turning my cool vintage ride into pimping my ride! No offense to all the ho's out there, but thats not what I was going for here. I just keep asking myself should I rattle can it black or chrome it out, and so far chrome leads the way. Chrome is just a helluva lot more durable, if I had access to powdercoating I'd be all over it. So somebody, please help me before I go overboard with this chrome addiction!!!
Chromed out my chain guard and my ignition switch housing this week. Sure beats rusty old black paint. Trying to attach some pics but it keeps telling me quota has been reached. Whats up with that?
