So I finally got the cam timed after several attempts and rereading the sticky over and over again, at first I was using the "wrong" timing marks they looked right but the lobes were no where near those listed, then I found the right intake mark and the proper exhaust mark (only after I read the sticky again) part of my problem was I was looking straight at the exhaust cam... so... until I realized the lobe positions were listed left to right from the riders position I thought I had the cam in backwards
now on to my question, I have read how to do the tappet adjustment but what is not clear to me is when I should make the adjustment, should I have .002 clearance at its slackest point?
