Hey everyone! I need your help with this, please!
My thinkiing was that the clutches inside the starter motor were bad, so I was expecting to hear the motor running but not turn any of the gears. However, you can see from the video that the starter turns the gears/chain the entire time. You can also see that the A.C. Generator Rotor does not turn all the time.

What do you guys think the problem is? Thanks for you input!

Bad starter clutch. Probably the little springs/caps (if you're lucky). Those parts are still available from Honda.

Put your model/year, etc., in your User Profile, please.

Yup, bad starter clutch. Pull the armature off and you'll see the clutch on the back side of it.

Yeah, bad starter clutch. I'm having the same problem with my 500T. I get one crank out of it then it lets go and just freewheels. Parts for it are cheap, and still available from Honda from what I've found today.
