Hi all. I'm a beginner mechanic and am having a problem with the tail light on my '81 CM400 Custom. I am replacing the original tail/brake light with a new light. The new light has two wires and the original bike wiring has three wires: brown, green/yellow, green. My understanding is the original bike wires are: brown is tail, green/yellow is brake, green is ground. I hooked up the red wire from the new light to the brown. I hooked up the black wire from the new light to the green/yellow. I hooked up the green to a bolt on the frame. The brake light works with the front and back brake. All turn signals work (I replaced those too). Problem is the tail light 7A fuse keeps blowing. The insulation on all wires looks decent, so I'm guessing it is decent in harder to see places, but who knows. Any ideas? Thanks a lot for any help!!
