I will be rehabbing a buddie's 1981 Hawk.I sold it to him many years ago,but it has been neglected for a few years.I found JT sprockets on the Bay but wonder how much to spend on a chain.I think O-ring chain would be a bit much for the rip snortin' 40 hp the bike makes.Any suggestions.I was thinking Parts Unlimited heavy duty.Help!

I just replace the chain and sprockets on my CB450SC, I used a JT front sprocket and an Outlaw Racing rear sprocket. I too decided an o-ring chain was not needed and purchased this cheap chain https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gold-530x110-Non-O-Ring-Drive-Chain-Motorcycle-530-Pitch-110-Links-5850/161144933611?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
I've had it on for three weeks now and is working great. I did notice a little bit more vibration under real hard acceleration vs the o-ring chain I replaced but that's part of a non o-ring chain.

EDIT: The price in the link is $37 but I paid $22. No idea why the seller changed the price.
