So, I sat on my CB tonight, and was just messing around. I went to twist the throttle, and the grip didn't move. Not sure, but the cable seems siezed. I can't say I'm surprised. Afterall, it's been sitting since the Carter Administration.

Good point. I did put a question mark in the title, didn't I?

The wisest thing I can do is to get a replacement as opposed to trying to repair what's there. If it's siezed now, there's no guarantee it won't sieze again.

Are these parts fairly easy to come by? I haven't tried looking just yet.

450 carb cables are still available from honda, far as I know.

I dug a little deeper, and it looks to me now that it's not the throttle cable, it's the carburetors that are siezed. Time to remove, and rebuild!

so, the question is... how hard is it to rebuild those?

They are a lot easier than Gold Wing carbs.
