No problem - backfiring through the carbs? I'd expect so. BTW - as I'm sure you are aware, having had the engine apart, the 450 engine does not retain any oil below the cams and followers. It relies on oil flow to fill the camshafts (by way of the oil passages up the 2 right hand cylinder studs) and that lubes the cam bearing surfaces and the followers out of the holes in the cam lobes. All that takes a couple of minutes to accomplish on a cold start, so keep the revs as low as possible for the first couple minutes to avoid undue wear on the lobes and followers. Other than taking that precaution, they're pretty durable engines
