just did my cb 360. 36 spoke double cross is the pattern. have you made sure your pattern is right. you do not need the sprocket on, has nothing to do with lacing the wheel. only tighten the spoke threads a few times when placing into the wheel. then when all the spokes are in place, now comes the hard part in truing the wheel. pm me if you need help.
