Can somebody break down generally which CL 77’s had the spark arrestor on the pipes? Was this 66 and 67? Do all CL 77’s have the snuff or nots regardless of if they came with the spark arrestor?

thanks,
Scott

They weren't spark arresters, they were muffler diffuser pipes, inserted into the pipes to muffle the noise. Later bikes had a slip-on muffler instead, changed to a welded-on version towards the end.

I didn’t know snuff or nots were aftermarket.
So, I don’t know if my bike has them. I haven’t removed the large final muffler piece to see if they were ever installed. (The red circled piece is the unit I thought was called the spark arrestor.)
And just to clarify. What is this price called?

…So people would pull out the muffler diffuser pipes and install snuff or nots?
If my bike has this large piece on the back does it mean that it does not have the muffler diffuser pipes?
Why did Honda put this price on the back? Was it their attempt to further quote the bike?

May be a better question is what is the relationship if any, between muffler diffuser pipes, snuff or not, and the large final exhaust piece?

Thanks guys- love the history and just want to understand how it all came to pass.
