I've looked but can't find the size of the slow jet under the plug. Maybe its a #35?
From the carb info sticky:

VB24 carbs are found on Automatic transmission models only
1978 CB400A uses VB24A with #72/105 jetting.
1979 CM400A uses VB24B with #65/110 jetting with a different needle.
1980 uses VB24C with #68/112 jetting.
1981 uses VB24C with 68/112 jetting. 1982 uses VB24E with 75/108 jetting and a #35 slow jet.
1983 is a single main jet #120 with a #38 slow jet and a different needle.
1980/81 are the only years using the same needle.

I've got the 1981 version.
I also would like to know the corresponding micro drill size that matches the orifice?
I'm getting ready to do a thorough carb clean and I'm gathering all the parts i should need!

Well that would explain the lack of info when searching! I was looking into the small drill kits pretty common to see #61 - #80 drill sizes included. I think that would probably cover whatever size it is. I just don't want to get into the brass at all, just be sure its completely clear as outlined in "Larrys Guide"

Removed the slow jets today, J-T is right, they are stamped #38
Anyone know what size this jet measures out to be, so i can use the proper drill without going over?
