Hey everyone. I posted here a couple years back asking why my bike wouldn't run. I've since then gone into Technician training and learned a lot. I got my bike running good. The timing was off, instead of points I switched to the Pamco ignition. My question now is, I'm building a Cafe, and I have all the fab on the rear frame done. But it seems like the front end is really tall. Are the Sl350 forks longer than a cb350? If so can I just slide a set of cb forks into my sl triple tree? Any help appreciated.

Early CB/CL's used 33 mm Diameter Fork Tubes and the later ones K4 '72 up used 35 mm fork tubes.

You would need to measure what you have to determine to possibility.

But I do remember the SL's using (4) Bolts on the Lower Cap for the Axle as opposed to (2) each side on the CB/CL's

So the SL had a much more robust fork assembly as an Off-Road bike than the Street versions.
