Bike is running great, but kill switch doesn't kill the engine. While investigating, I noticed two wires under the gas tank are showing copper.

It appears to be a black and black/white wire that are together but separate at the area they are damaged. Can anyone tell me what these wires go to? Also, could that be the reason my kill switch stopped working?

The black feeds 12 volts to the kill switch(also feeds the horn, brake light switches and the light switch) , the black/white wire comes from the kill switch to the coils. Someone probably had a problem with the kill switch and by-passed it by plugging the black wire into the coil connection.

Problem Solved :)

The insulation on the black & black/white wires had rubbed off and was causing the copper of the two wires to touch, essentially bypassing the kill switch.

I peeled the wires apart and wrapped each wire with shrink wrap. Kill switch back functioning again :)
