Hey guys I bought a 1972 Honda Cl350 and it had pods on it so I recently bought some stock filters at a swap meet and last night purchased the rod and nuts that hold it on and side covers. The covers I bought are for 73 Cb350. After purchasing I noticed some people mentioned that Cls had special covers with the cutout so they wouldn't melt from the high pipe. Has anyone actually seen one melt I did some looking but never saw one that had actually melted. Here's the covers I purchased.

Thanks for the feedback

The '72 and '73 CL350 had a left side cover with a recess to clear the pipes. This is because the side covers were more bulbous those 2 years and stuck out farther (probably about 1/2"). On the '68-'71 bikes, the left side covers were flatter and were the same on the CB and CL. That said, you could probably "massage" the exhaust mounting brackets a little to create some clearance.
