I have a 72 cb350. The bike is definitely not running right. Backfired with any throttle and will not rev past 2000 rpm. Is it abnormal to see spark / arcing between the point contacts while the motor is running?
A little sparking is normal, a lot of sparking or a big spark across the points is bad. If you can hear it crackle, it’s probably too big, imo. Usually means you’ve got a bad ground somewhere or your condenser is dying. I could see carbs on this one too, though not bad to make sure your grounds and condensers are good and your timing is behaving as expected. A dynamic timing gun would help rule out advance issues too.
