Hey guys,

I'm done with my wiring diagram for my CJ360. If one (or more) of you guys would be so kind, can you look it over to make sure everything checks out OK?

Here's a list of what I'm trying to accomplish:

  • Horn delete
  • Ignition key delete
  • Addition of Hondaman transistorized assist ignition unit
  • Replacement of battery with capacitor
  • Off switch for headlight (high and low) and speedo light
  • LED replacement for turn signals, both front and back

Thanks in advance,
Sonny

I'm not a wiring guru but nice job with the schematic. What software did you use to put that together and where did you source the symbols? I'm looking for something that will do something similar for the "wire book" that I'm putting together for my airplane.

Several points.........
How do you shut off battery power to the bike?....
IF you park in neutral, the light will receive the full brunt of the capacitors discharge....
All four signals will flash in either left or right position as they are "jumped" at the indicator.......
I'll keep looking....

Bill,

There is no power shutoff. I forgot to mention, but I'm removing the battery as well. I'm running a 15,000 uF, instead. When I hit the kill switch, the engine stops and power (from the alternator) stops as well.

Is that still a concern for killing the neutral light? The tail should b wired "always on" for a bit of discharge as well.

Also, I have diodes in place for the indicator light. Won't that stop the cross over?

Thanks,
Sonny

I did not notice the two diodes because of their coloration....Yes, that should do it if their "direction" is correct....
I would still wire the "kill" so it shuts off power to everything, not just the coils... (at the red to black junction)......
MOST jurisdictions still require a horn.........

Thanks, Sprint. I'm thinking I'll put in a secondary switch at the junction mentioned. Maybe a hidden switch since I'm running without an ignition.

MNellis,

For the wiring diagram, I would I could point you to a nifty program that does it, but I just used to graphics editing software to modify an image I found from www.oldmanhonda.com
