Yeppers.... Very pricey!.... I might offer 20% of what he's asking ....I love that K1 tank....LOL.... That bike is NOT street legal in VA.... No odometer, taillight is too small, no reflectors......

Since he doesn't talk about the motor, I assume it would need a good goin' thru, and it's not very clean (the engine). A couple of hundred spent here would up his chances of getting close to his price.

Of course a K1 tank is the coolest there is (make mine black, please), and it has real nice stainless exhaust.
The front end is imaginitive, but no big deal. 750 forks aren't that great either - they're made for a bike that weighs probably 150 pounds more than a 450, so they'd need some work, but he doesn't mention that.......
Steve does cooler stuff than that all the time.

Good shocks, ok seat..... coupla' grand, tops.
I wouldn't spend that much on it though, it still has a ways to go.

I knew I'd see the build on that bike somewhere. I also recall remembering how I thought it was a shame not to restore it to original. It wasn't so far gone that it couldn't be taken back, but that's just my preference. I do like the end result but, I too, think it's probably overpriced since the original cost was only $600 and the motor didn't come out of the frame.

Yeah, I looked at his build. It "had" an odometer in it originally. Must be one of those, slip it in there, when getting it inspected things....

600 asking 4500, sounds like me and the yellow scoot!
