Hey Guys,

I'm really hoping for you help.

I'm trying to piece back together the top end of my 73 CB350, but i'm getting a large amount of resistance at one point. I wanted to turn the cam over to make sure everything was rolling smooth, but it doesn't want to go past this one spot. It doesn't feel like the more gradual resistance of the valves opening. None of the tappets are tightened down and the timing looks good.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Dan.... Even with the tappets adjusted loose, the cam will still operate the valves....
What you are feeling is the valve spring pressures and piston movement within the cylinders...... IF you are sure it is timed correctly, keep on turning it over, you should not incur any damage.... Personally, I'd set the tappets as you get to the correct alignments, and a dab of oil on the cams lobes will help reduce friction there...
Timed correctly, there is always some resistance as any valve starts to open...
BUT, be SURE it's timed correctly........
