Anyone know how much resistance new plug caps are supposed to have? I've seen some reference to needing a 5k ohm plug cap, but nothing definite. Honda didn't see fit to provide me with that info.

I believe I need an LB05F for my CB360, but I hope someone has definite info.

After doing some other reading, I found some info that others might be interested in.

The resistance in the plug cap controls the spark duration:

Higher resistance = weaker spark, longer duration
Lower resistance = hotter spark, short duration

Each have their pros and cons. A longer spark duration should produce a better burn, but they're easier to foul since the spark energy is lower. A hot spark wouldn't give you as good a burn but is more robust in terms of fouling.

I am guessing 5k as the compromise the factory made between burn quality and robustness. I am going to use 0 ohm caps for initial setup and tuning to be absolutely sure the plugs are firing while I'm getting the carbs dialed in, then switch to 1k caps to get a slightly longer spark. YMMV, as always.
