I have bought a new ignition coil for my nighthawk. My question is the one I purchased is an aftermarket model made by 4 into 1. The plug wires come out the oposite end of the coil vs the factory coil. Which wire goes to which cylinder? Any thoughts?

Thanks

If it's a twin-lead coil (2 plug wires from the same coil), then it doesn't matter, they both spark at the same time - one cylinder is on compression stroke, the other on exhaust when it happens

First thing to check is the Primary resistance of that coil. It needs to be below 1 ohm. Over 1 ohm is too much load placed on the CDI unit leading to failure.
As for the plug wires? it makes no difference which is where. They both fire at the same time, wasted spark ignition system

The Green and Yellow wires going into the coil are the Primary wires, the spark plug wires are the secondary.
