Goedenavond,

This was 1/2 year ago:
My son has the Honda 350, we tried desperately letting it run properly, i.e. more than 80 miles/hr.
We adapted ign, carbs, exhaust, and checked cam timing, and uhhh. compression, which wasnt good at all.
No succes at all, but the Honda served useful and reliable in and around town.

Now my son finished his study, AND bought immediately a Suzuki Tempter 650 twin, here in Holland I never saw one!
At least my son displays some taste, maybe not optical, but technical: the Tempter has the same crankshaft layout as the Honda, 180 deg. twin.
(roller bearings?? I dont know)

Boy that bike pulls! The battery is very bad, it has to be pushed to start, very leaky balance pipe, smoke from left cyl. (?) when at idle but not on the highway, overheating (exhaust!), no strange noises, but okay for the very small money he bought it (as a non-runner)

The other good news is that now I feel free to check the Honda's top end, and let it run just as fast as the Tempter does!

Is to be continued....

wiemer.
