I have a basket case cl160 that I'm probably selling, but as I was taking some photos last night I thought maybe I should just sell the parts individually.

Could someone shed some light on how much the parts are worth? keihin carbs/tank/engine/exhaust, etc... ?


I ebay searched for price ranges, but couldn't find anything reliable.

Rough estimates based on what I've sold for parts over the last couple years, and given that prices seem to have gone down in the past year or two:

Carbs: $60-75 if they're complete, $100 or so if they've been rebuilt properly.

Tank: $75 or so, depending on condition of interior, dings, dents, etc. -- although if the rubber and the badges are in good shape, more.

Exhaust: $150 if they mufflers are in good shape, relatively rust free, no holes. Much less if not.

Engine: $100 complete if it's not turning, more I guess if it is.

Headlight bucket and speed depends on condition, but maybe $50

Wheels -- not much.

Repainted fender -- maybe $30?

Side cover -- maybe $25?

Rear brake lever: $25 if it's straight.

Sad but true, sometimes it's worth more to part these out than to try to sell it as a complete project. PLus side is you're keeping other 160s on the road.

I think that you may be able to sell the air filters. Even though they are a bit ratty, 160 guys are looking for them to rebuild. I don't think anyone makes reproductions for the 160. I don't know what they are worth, though.
