Hello,

Seeking advice on puzzling '74 CB200 issue. I do have the wiring diagram but can't seem to track this one down.

Installed new left handlebar switch unit. Initially, upon installation, lights and blinkers worked fine. Horn did not work. Assumed it was because the horn was shot. Removed the horn and came back to the bike a few weeks later. No lights or blinkers. Bike does turn over and the neutral light still works. Reinstallation of old horn does not solve the issue.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Sounds like a bad ground (?). When you start jjggling 50 year old wiring, connections can get compromised. Maybe also clean the connectors? I had a similar intermittent lighting problem and the solder connection on one of the wires to the 'dash' had broken off and was making intermittent contact.

Check and clean the connectors the terminals loose tension with age and then there’s all the grounds lol. Take care.
