I'm getting my frame, swingarm and a couple misc pieces sandblasted. Can I leave my swingarm bushings in? I believe there are four in the front and two bearings(?) in the back. if there is anything i should know, please tell me.

If you're talking about the shock bushings that are pressed into the swingarm then mine survived blasting with an industrial 4-5" nozzle and aluminum oxide abrasive. They also survived the powdercoating oven. Still not brittle and surprisingly they look to be in very good shape still..

The actual pivot bushings you'll want to cover up. I took mine out to replace them but I still plugged the holes using two large metal plates cut in a circle shape with a small hole drilled into them. Then I ran a piece of all-thread through and tightened it down to seal the pivot area of the swingarm.

As of now, there are no bronze bushings available for the 350 so i'll be sure to cover it up.

You should've gotten in on the group buy for the bushings on here.. They usually need replacing.

i know i know. i didn't plan on going this far with my bike. the plan was just top end engine work.

there's only 7000 miles on the bike and zero play when i checked so i have time.

next order, i'm in.
