A tutorial how to pop out dents in a motorcycle gas tank without special tools. DIY Paintless dent repair. Try this before spending big money on repainting your bike, cause original paint is really cool and I think original paint is worth more. In this video, I will use an old inner tube I was going to throw away, to pop out a shallow dent in my gas tank. The second tank I do in the video is a totally mashed tank that I wouldn't use on a bike, but after popping most of the dent out, it is definitely useable and a good candidate for lots of fun and bondo. This will not work in all situations, but has fixed a lot of old tanks for me in the past, so don't knock it until you try it. Nice old Honda tanks can be really hard to find. P.S. If you have deep creases in the tank, use at you own risk. It's likely not not to get them out, but might get lucky or make your tank look a little better. (Maybe). Proceed at your own risk you have been warned. If you have an old tank to practice on, it is always a good option.

Pretty cool video. I have a Super Hawk gas tank, with a dent a little larger around, than a silver dollar and this just might bring it out.
I am anxious to give it a shot and will do so, just as soon as I can. ;)

Chippe you may be right. But I would still like to try it. Maybe my bike yard buddy would donate an old tank to play with.

I may work on your dent, who knows but make sure your tank is in a good condition. I saw a guy on youtube destroy his tank using this method. Sounds like a good idea to practise on an old tank. Good luck!
