The 360 had developed an oil leak around the output shaft area. It wasn’t too terrible, but it’s been bothering me.

I ordered a seal and did some google-foo while I waited.

Some said I needed to split the cases while others were apparently successful without a tear down.

Seal came in and I tried to do it the “easy” way.

I’m sure the old timers already know where this is going

Seal replaced, filled with oil, feeling like I won!! Then I cranked it up......

Damp seep was a full on leak now!!! Damn

Ordered a full engine seal and gasket kit. Now I’m in the middle of open heart surgery on the old girl.

Going pretty good so far. I hope to be able to have it back together in a day or so. We’ll see...

So it’s going back together a little slower than anticipated. I’m making steady progress though. Almost all the parts are back on. Need to go through the timing procedure, etc...

...and that’s exactly why I don’t come here anymore. Apparently the ownership has run off all the old timers?
