Isn't it, like, only 1 or 2 psi?

Would love to see the results :) I bet the pressure is more than people might think. I haven't torn mine down yet so I'm unsure of the oil path routing outside of what is in the service manual. Do you have a copy?

i, after much spannnering over many months by my uncle, started his '36 sunbeam on the weekend (after 40 odd years of being laid up) and we maxed out an aftermarket oil pressure gauge plumbed into its system. we just had it there to ensure we HAD oil pressure. i find it hard to believe that a '70's model couldn't compete with a '30's model...

they both run gear-type oil pumps. admittedly the sunbeam runs a dry(ish ;) ) sump so it may be set for higher pressure to ensure scavenging/return...
got any figures that say it runs supper low? or any other indicators? i was thinking of running one on mine at some stage. they honda 4's can be rigged to run one with a very sexy billet aftermarket gauge kit.
